Filigran Closes $35 Million Series B to Accelerate Cybersecurity Innovation
European cybersecurity leader Filigran has completed a monumental raise of $35 million in a Series B funding round, led by the major software investor Insight Partners, with continued support from Accel and Moonfire. Funding follows a successful Series A round of $16 million completed earlier this year and further highlights Filigran's rapid growth trajectory.
This new capital injection is set to power Filigran's expansion toward the U.S. and Pacific markets, and accelerate the enhancement of its AI and data engineering capabilities for further development. These are to increase the reach and capabilities of Filigran's flagship XTM suite, which boasts two open-source platforms: OpenCTI and OpenBAS.
Founded in 2022, Filigran's innovative solutions have gained widespread adoption across many industries and are leveraged by top global companies like Airbus, Marriott, Thales, Hermès, Rivian, and Bouygues Telecom. Major public sector clients include the European Commission, FBI, New York City Cyber Command, federal agencies in the U.S. and Australia, the Netherlands National Police Corps, and many European government ministries.
The XTM suite allows them to structure threat intelligence with OpenCTI, run real-time threat simulation with OpenBAS, and accelerate the pace at which threats can be detected and responded to-only ultimately increasing the speed of long-term strategic planning. With over 4,300 cybersecurity experts in its contributing community, these tools continue to evolve.
The new funding will further develop new XTM solutions that integrate advanced risk assessment and cyber deception technologies in a bid to meet evolving security challenges.
"This Series B investment is a huge milestone for Filigran and further validates the strides we have made in reshaping threat intelligence," said Samuel Hassine, Chief Executive Officer of Filigran. "This funding allows us to scale our mission of delivering actionable and accessible threat management solutions to the world.
Crissy Costa Behrens, Insight Partners added, "Filigran's approach to integrating open-source innovation within threat management is transformational. We look forward with great enthusiasm in supporting their growth as they redefine the way security teams tackle the core challenges of threat intelligence and mitigation."
Indeed, with seasoned leaders at its helm, such as Samuel Hassine, CEO, formerly working in strategic roles at Tanium and ANSSI, and Julien Richard, CTO and a veteran of more than 20 years leading software engineering, Filigran is well positioned to lead the future of cybersecurity.
